Thanksgiving week and the two weeks at Christmas time
These two times of the year are unique. All the flights will be full. The demographics are that visitors arrive nearly at the same time and stay for one or two weeks respectively. That means rentals, tours and dinner reservations will sell out early and remain so through the holiday periods. |
Travelling to Kaua'i
| Make or check your rental car reservations before you fly. Rental companies will sell out over the holiday. This is an island and the rental supply is always limited. Bring your reservation/confirmation numbers and check your dates today. |

| Give yourself plenty of time at airports and on the road. Especially with what surely will be heightened security and full flights, we suggest that you try to get into the Kauai spirit of things by not being rushed. |

Make all your reservations well in advance of arrival
Thanksgiving & Christmas dinner at restaurants will sell out. This year, both holidays fall on a Thursday so if you have a luau in mind they will be sold out as well.
Reservations on other nights will be harder to get than normal.
